Intense day… executing on a plan for my wife’s surprise birthday staycation.

And here’s my brief daily report on my month-long focus on de-cluttering my life.

  • Physiological / Health – deviated from my fast a little. Had 1/2 Banana, 3 Scoops of Yogurt, a Handful of Gingko Nuts and Pistachios. Oh, and a 3-course Lunch at Tangerine (consolation: it’s very healthy cuisine. excuse: wife’s birthday). Had a mild headache at night – not sure if it’s because of lack of sleep the nights before (from an intense work week), or sudden introduction of food into my diet, or the lack of water, or not having coffee in the morning. Main thing – I’m looking forward to returning to my fast. Highlight – there was a seriously awesome birthday cake sitting just 50 cm from my noise this afternoon. And I didn’t touch it. This marks my 7th day without sugar and desserts. I wonder if I can drop it for life. I wonder if I would have the discipline to stick to a no sugar, no sweets/desserts, no junk food, no unhealthy snacks for life.
  • Material – At a staycation the whole day. Didn’t do a ‘daily detox’ of my material possessions, and won’t do one tomorrow.
  • Mental – One whole week off Facebook and most forms of online news. Not missing anything at all.
  • Relationships – No updates from yesterday.
