It’s not unreasonable to expect that those who seek to lead us, and our countries — are competent and of sound mind… not given to irrational, emotion-driven thinking.
And yet — in the last few months — I’ve read of citizens who far outshine those who aspire to lead and govern them.

“My father was murdered by a 15-year-old boy. I cannot deny the fact that the perpetrators professed to be followers of Islamic State.

Common Sense from the ‘common man’.
How is it that leaders who so desperately seek our attention and vote to power — would be so desperately lacking for the common wisdom that many ordinary citizens (like Cheng) have?
And I don’t just refer to what’s happening in Australia — but in the US and other parts of the world.
How is it that such people — could have possibly attained the degree of influence they have today?
It’s baffling.
