About me

I am currently obsessed with building knowledgeable, autonomous agents. This work includes designing human-AI workflows as the world undergoes a massive shift toward fully-realized AGI (Artificial General Intelligence).

Most of my work is centered around Stellar — a company I founded a few years ago to help other founders run their back-office operations and build what we now call "one-man unicorn companies."

As I observe and participate in this transition from a human-only world to one of human-AI coexistence, I'm drawn to several areas of interest, including the development of agent ecosystems and the tools that bring them to life.

On days when I'm not actively building or managing operations, I spend considerable time thinking about what it means to be human.

This journey began a decade ago with mindfulness, spiritual practice, and a search for Truth — and is now accelerating as we see AI begin to embody and display traits we once considered uniquely human, including creativity, emotional expression, and the ability to form connections.

How I Work

Fundamentally, I'm what you might call a generalist. But if we work together, here's how you'll get the most out of me…

I'm a systems designer, builder, and writer. I enjoy building brands and products. I find myself almost hardwired to keep inventing new things and optimizing processes.

When I'm deep in work, I tend to under-communicate. So – that means you won't find me #BuildingInPublic a lot. That said, I'm told I'm an excellent communicator. It’s not something you’d usually highlight in a bio (seriously, who cares?), but it turns out that systems design and AI orchestration do require precise, thoughtful communication. So here it is.

Innovation feels like a tired word these days, or maybe it's the bubble I live in where I'm surrounded by innovators. Throughout my career, I've found myself choosing paths that initially appear contrarian but eventually become mainstream.

My Background

As a student, I was programming before coding was remotely normal (Pascal). I wish I'd continued honing that skill, but I was impatient to build, and coding is only one part of building. The habit of programmatic thinking has stayed with me since — often surfacing as a restless pursuit of simplicity, speed, and absolute clarity.

I served as an Infantry Officer for six years and was tasked with developing early urban warfare doctrine as our army shifted its focus from traditional jungle warfare operations.

I then moved into public relations, where I helped companies like Microsoft, HP, and eBay adopt Web 2.0 technologies and shift from traditional PR to what we now know as digital marketing. I started and built the Digital Strategies Group in Asia, for the second-largest independent PR firm in the world.

After that, I left to start a location-based services company called YFind Technologies, which was later acquired by Ruckus Wireless.

I then went on to start another venture — The Commissioned, which in hindsight was my early attempt at building NFTs before the technology existed to support them. Eventually, I shut that company down and took a long sabbatical to focus on family and rest.

My wife and I homeschool our two children, preparing them to be global citizens in a world driven and impacted by AI — a world that demands adaptability, speed, and a deep sense of who they are, in a future marked by high uncertainty. In our 16 years of marriage, we've moved 18 times, shuttling between our homes in the San Francisco Bay Area, Singapore, Melbourne (Australia), and Malaysia.

Looking Ahead

Today, we spend most of our time in Silicon Valley, where — as I started this introduction — I'm focused on building AI agents and designing what I hope will be the future of web interfaces.
